Emergency Scenarios and Refund Policy

Emergency and refund procedures may differ from person to person, depending on the background cause and effect, whether or not it counts as a force majeure, when and how much progress has been made, whether a postponement or a full cancellation would be best, and other factors.

To remain open and understanding of everyone’s unique conditions, I kindly ask each Client to please directly message me if an emergency arises.

General rule-of-thumbs regarding refunds include:

  1. Down payments are non-refundable.
  2. Fully paid-off payments for finished contracts are non-refundable.
  3. If I’m the one who has to postpone past a fixed deadline, we can discuss the possibility of the project/manuscript/document/consultation withstanding a longer waiting period, followed by an adjusted payment schedule.
  4. If I’m the one who has to fully cancel, we can discuss the possibility of a partial refund for a % of the work I haven’t finished.
  5. If Client cancels the contract after payment but before I’ve done any work, Client may opt to play philanthropist and donate their slot to either a different beneficiary of their choice or publicly promote the paid-for slot for anyone to rise up to the opportunity.
